Public programmes for Mahi Tahi extend the exhibition’s spirit of collaboration into a series of intimate, student-led activations. Developed alongside Whitecliffe’s postgraduate artists, these programmes unfold across three distinct exhibition moments, each with its own rhythm, focus, and mode of engagement.
Responding to shared concerns around time, place, and identity, the programmes invite audiences into experiences and gatherings that reflect the diverse practices within the cohort. Rather than a single, fixed offering, Mahi Tahi embraces multiplicity—encouraging return visits and sustained dialogue as each activation reveals new perspectives.
Together, these public programmes foreground process, exchange, and collective inquiry, creating space for audiences to encounter the ideas shaping emerging practices today. They offer an opportunity not only to experience the exhibition differently, but to participate in the evolving questions at its core.
