To See a Face brings together a significant selection of photographs by Dr Fiona Pardington (ONZM), spanning some of the artist's most celebrated series alongside works less frequently exhibited. Bringing these bodies of work into dialogue reveals new connections across a practice that has continually explored histories of care, remembrance, and the ethics of representation.

From taonga in museum collections to intimate studies of the human body, Pardington's photographs invite sustained attention to the lives and histories carried by their subjects. Opening as Pardington's acclaimed presentation Taharaki Skyside, at the 2026 Venice Biennale, draws to a close, To See a Face offers audiences a timely opportunity to experience a major selection of her work in Aotearoa.
