Join us for a Deep Listening Performance by sound and video artist Clinton Watkins expanding the group show The Crackling of the Sun:  

Watkins will present a selection of rare and obscure vinyl from around the world, focusing on musique concrète, experimental and electroacoustic music, spoken word, environmental recordings, and minimalist electronics. Played live across a set of turntables within a surround-sound environment, the two-hour deep listening performance invites audiences to recline, blindfolded, and immerse themselves in an extended sonic experience.  

The exhibition The Crackling of the Sun builds on mythic memories and speculative storytelling. Foregrounding vibration, resonance, and silence as alternative ways of encountering time and togetherness, this session positions the exhibition as both a space of research and a living social practice.
