For practicing, established or emerging curators – this event is designed to be a relaxed and supportive session, where connections can be built. Come along to meet our visiting curator Mikala Tai an independent writer, curator and specialist in contemporary Australian and Asian art based in Sydney.
The session will begin with whakawhanaunatanga, and move into an open peer-led discussion exploring ideas, contexts, and experiences shaping curatorial practice across different cultural settings. Participants are invited to share perspectives, approaches and questions in the spirit of openness and curiosity.
This programme is part of the Visiting Curators Programme (VCP) and is in partnership with UNSW Galleries. It is supported by AUT School of Future Environments, OCCA, and the Te Uru Benefactors Collective (TBC)
This event is free, but booking is essential as spaces are limited – please RSVP here.
