A pop-up exhibition celebrating more than six decades of pottery and participation in NZ's ceramic community.
The exhibition surveys Bev Rea’s career - more than six decades of pottery, experimentation and participation in New Zealand’s studio ceramics community. From her beginnings in Dunedin around 1959 to the rich artistic milieu of Taranaki and later Titirangi, Rea worked across functional and sculptural forms, exploring local materials, glaze, salt firing and other firing techniques. Bringing together pots, photographs and archival material, this retrospective places her work within a remarkable period when the boundaries between art, craft and community were being actively explored.
Note: this exhibition will be on view for one weekend only in Te Uru’s Learning Center.

The exhibition will be open to the public Saturday 17 October 10am - 4:30pm and Sunday 18 October 10am - 4pm
