Takeshi Yasuda: Pottery Demonstration
To spend a day watching a master potter at work is a rare treat. Portage Ceramic Awards 2014 judge, Takeshi Yasuda, first trained from 1963-66 at the Daisei-Gama Pottery in Mashiko, Japan, and established his original studio there. After 50 years working with a range of techniques in Japan, Britain and China, he brings a wealth of experience.
This is a unique chance to join one of the world’s most celebrated ceramic artists for an intimate studio session and a shared pot-luck lunch hosted by Auckland Studio Potters.
