For the first day of our McCahon Centenary exhibition, ‘A way through’ Colin McCahon’s Gate III, we have a pre-opening gallery talk with Christina Barton, Sophie Thorn, and Nina Dyer. Christina is the Director of Adam Art Gallery Te P?taka Toi that manages the Victoria University of Wellington Art Collection; Sophie is the Collection Officer, and Nina is this year’s Adam Art Gallery Intern. They have worked together to bring Gate III to Auckland and offer their varying perspectives on this major work.

This talk will be followed by the official exhibition opening celebration from 4pm – please stay-on for refreshments.
