Inside/Out is a Kelston Boys High School exhibition created by year 11 sculpture students. They were challenged to investigate and redefine everyday items by exploring positive and negative space through casting techniques. Inspired by the work of Rachel Whiteread and her minimalist approach, the objects are able to evoke contemplation by giving the inside of things a life which would otherwise go unseen.

YOUNG-HAE CHANG HEAVY INDUSTRIES is a Seoul-based art group consisting of Young-hae Chang, a Korean, and Marc Voge, an American. The duo, who initially formed in 1999, were among the first to use the internet as a platform for artistic experimentation. Using the deceptively simple form of text animations, usually set to music, YOUNG-HAE CHANG HEAVY INDUSTRIES’ work explores the possibilities of media, technology and power in an increasingly connected world of virtual relationships, intensified by the politics of globalisation and migration.
For this performance event, artists Bruce Barber and Mark Harvey revisit their collaboration, My Left is Your Right, which was performed earlier this year as part of the Free Hand performance series at Anna Leonowens Gallery in Halifax, Nova Scotia. This new presentation, titled Button Action, will take place in Titirangi Village.
