auckland festival of ceramics - ceramic safari west

As part of the Auckland Festival of Ceramics 2017, get aboard the three Ceramics Safari charter coach tours. After the first tour on 4 November, Te Uru features as part of the West Auckland Safari on 11 November. It’s a chance to see the newly-opened Portage Ceramic Awards 2017 and hear a talk by 2017 judge Emma Bugden. Also showing will be current exhibition Leading Ladies, featuring works by pioneering female New Zealand studio potters. Tours include lunch and afternoon tea, and Ceramics Safarians receive their own hand-made mug by Festival Co-Director and Auckland Studio Potters President Suzy Dünser to commemorate their intrepid clay journey.
