Educators' Art Development

Educators Art Development is a series of open, arts-intensive classes designed to assist in the up-skilling of early childhood through to primary school teachers, as well as other art educators in specialist areas. The aim of these workshops is to help you engage with your students in a more confident exploration of the arts.

Introduction to PLASTER

This workshop will give you the basic skills to create plaster casts of found objects and see the potential of making very quick relief sculptures using simple materials. The process is a lot of fun and you can obtain very detailed intricate results. You will also learn about plaster of paris bandages and how you can incorporate these into mixed media works of art. Please bring along a few small items to cast, such as shells, seedpods, children’s toys etc.
